Greek Legends

Greek LegendsSurprisingly fun for both Quinn and me Greek myths accurately told with fun illustrations and lots to keep a kid interested This would be a great gift for someone 8 10 even if they don t love reading, they would probably have fun with this. Horrible Histories author Terry Deary s writing style is fun and laugh out loud, and it hooks teen readers, generating interest in the serious mythological texts. This book is HILARIOUS If you want an easy understanding of Greek Mythology and have fun with it, this is your book It s filled with stories, quick facts, and plain fun all around Since this book is written for children, it doesn t get into any explicit detail, if you catch my meaning But an adult, I think, would understand what REALLY happened between Zeus and his women, and that there was a lot to their hooking up lol It s a clean book, and despite cutting many of the explicit details of Greek myths, still manages to get the point across and still be accurate. Meh It was okay I ve read better Greek Mythology books. An amusing abridgement of the big Greek myths, and a rather interesting assortment of facts on ancient Greece and the gods and goddesses that their culture created The droll commentary on the plights of the deities was also much appreciated, though I think it could lead to some confusion for my English Language Learners some idioms were a little too difficult to access, even for me But, overall, I think this will be a great collection to help spice up my curriculum this week Good find, would read again Buy this title from Powell s Books. These books are just a great, hilarious way to learn history or myths, in this case I don t know how many there are in the series, but the Rotten Romans and these Legends were my two favorites Thanks to this book I know my Greek legends pretty darn well well enough to recall them on a whim for inconsequential discussions on who had a worse lot Oedipus or Heracles or one of the other 8 top myths One thing I definitely learned the Oracle at Delphi was seriously the most messed up place to go visit EVER Do not let your children visit They ll come back trying to kill you, themselves, their siblings, or their favorite pet fox Yeah, the Spartans kept pet foxes, to help train the boys to fight. I like greek legends and this book was funny and informational If you want to learn about greek gods this is the perfect book It was good and I plan on reading it again It never gets old because you learn a little every time you read it. Such a cute, fun way to interact with Greek Mythology Love the illustrations and the narrator has a sarcastic tone that I LOVE R Popular E Book, Greek Legends Author Terry Deary This Is Very Good And Becomes The Main Topic To Read, The Readers Are Very Takjup And Always Take Inspiration From The Contents Of The Book Greek Legends, Essay By Terry Deary Is Now On Our Website And You Can Download It By Register What Are You Waiting For Please Read And Make A Refission For You A very funny way for a first contact with greek legends No matter your age, you ll get involved.
