P Town is an amazing, heartwarming story about a group of people whose lives converge one summer in Provincetown I ve never been to P Town but the descriptive writing made me feel like I had as well as made me want to visit there someday The book has a wide range of characters from a young struggling musician to an older, retired English professor Four people who would not normally be in the same circle are brought together as each must face and overcome his or her personal struggle with the help of an enigmatic visitor to P Town The book is deeply touching, emotional and uplifting I rooted for every character and loved how each found the strength to deal with their very different and personal issues P Town is a perfect book for any time but it is especially appropriate for the holiday season I would recommend this book to everyone and anyone with a heart Howard Reiss has written another winner, this one particularly poignant.

This was a hard book for me to rate and review Reiss developed an interesting concept complete with a positive message I appreciated the fact that the author created characters with a diverse set of problems and that each of their stories had a satisfying resolution Despite these positive qualities, I did not give this one a higher rating, because overall, I felt the plot fell a little short The events in the novel were a little too convenient and the characters a little too predictable Additionally, the pacing was a little slow, making it hard for me to read when I was feeling tired or distracted While this book had a satisfying ending, it did not quite meet the high expectations I had prior to reading.

I won this in a goodreads giveaway It was a joy to read Some minor spelling errors throughout took me out of the moment but the story was interesting The conflicts are all resolved very tidily but the characters were developed well so passing 350 pages with them was a pleasure.
