3.25 stars An interesting 2nd chance romance I really had a hard time warming up to Matt, I found him very pushy, ignoring everything Jenny said in protest I also struggle to think that someone who totally turns his back on his GF and his baby should get a second chance to be involved with them with an Oops I was wrong, sorry Now give me access to my kid I needed a bit character development, as I only really saw the h as a devoted mom and the H as a feeling guilty now rich athlete Finally, I spent a lot of the book wondering how his Chieftan car from HS got back to the west coast when her had been living in Florida and he had flown in and taken a cab was it in storage for the last 12 years Not a big deal, it just didn t make sense to me and I spent the book wondering about it The ending was nice, though it felt a little rushed, and I think this story really needed an epilogue to solidify their relationship I received an ARC of this book from eDiscovery and this is my voluntary and honest review.

This second chance romance is fairly angst ridden as Matt Chambers returns to Seattle for a friend s wedding, only to realise that the woman he had turned his back on so many years ago had, in fact, been telling the truth all along The baby she had been carrying was his Making amends is difficult than he thought as widowed Jenny puts up protective barriers in a bid to protect her son The old attraction is still there but getting over the hump of lies and half truths is daunting, to say the least Jenny s reaction to Matt s return is understandable, given their history I did, however, feel that Matt s attitude needed some adjusting The story is generally well written and there is some suspense when Sam realises just who Matt is, but the story does end on a positive note, although somewhat abruptly I received this book for free from eBook Discovery I voluntarily post this review This is my honest review.

Convinced that Jenny was unfaithful, Matt denied that the baby Jenny was having was his and left Seattle on a football scholarship Thirteen years later, Jenny is very surprised to see Matt at her best friend s wedding and wants to keep Matt from seeing their twelve year old son Sam Now that Matt s NFL career is finished, Matt is weighing whether to accept a coaching position in Seattle or in Florida When Matt sees Sam, he knows his father and wants a second chance of having Sam and Jenny in his life Jenny hurt by his accusation years ago might be harder to convince I received a free copy of this book from eBook Discovery This is my honest and voluntarily given review I really like this book This is a very good second chance romance It is a fast and enjoyable read with just a little bit of steam.

What a great story about Matt and Jenny It s amazing what a moment in time as teenagers can have long standing effects on the lives of those involved I found the story very engaging and realistic I could really feel the anguish of all the characters as a try to sort out the implications for their relationship in the present While it seemed like the story ended with a HFN, I felt a bit cheated out of an epilogue that tied up all the loose ends in a much desired HEA I received this book for free from eBook Discovery I voluntarily review this book This is my honest review.

Yes this was completely predictable, but it was exactly what I needed sitting in the vet s emergency room for 5 hours on Christmas night It took my mind off everything happening and was a sweet story of second chances, similar to Forever my Girl, which I read earlier in the year A Little Loving was the better of the two in my opinion.

There is much to like in this romance that has Jenny, a single mother of 12 year old Sam, wondering if she can trust the man who once refused to believe he was Sam s father Now Matt has come back to Seattle for the wedding of a mutual friend, and he can no longer deny that Sam is his The writing is smooth and the dialogue is very realistic, and all the elements that romance readers expect are there passion and sexual tension and that push and pull between wanting and not trusting That said, I was not fond of Matt when he first appeared on the scene He was much too pushy about his side of things, and Jenny seemed to give in much too easily His character did become likeable the he interacted with Sam, and those were some of the best scenes in the book Other scenes and situations seemed just a bit contrived and were not as engaging to me For someone who likes a light, easy read, this would be a good one to pick up.
